WALLS OF REMEMBRANCE, MILAN DESIGN WEEK 26'

Walls of Remembrance is an architectural installation exploring memory, displacement, and the traces of childhood in Baghdad. Through three concrete walls, the work carries fragments of personal memories, familiar rituals, and the echoes of Iraqi folklore.

Bringing together the weight of concrete with the intangible presence of sound and storytelling, the installation reflects on absence, belonging, and the lasting impressions of a distant homeland.

The project was presented as part of Default Is Not Universal during Milan Design Week 2026, in collaboration with Ithra and Isola Design.
